The Balloon Bicycle was first introduced in the 1930's. It has been said that the first one was invented in the year of 1934. The balloon bicycle was said to have gotten its name because these vintage bicycles have huge wide tires that are referred to as balloon tires.
Balloon bicycles tires are usually more narrow than the average bike tire. Also, these vintage bicycles tires run at a higher pressure. The seats on these types of bikes are often called saddles. Usually, the saddles were made out of leather.The handle bars on these old fashioned bikes have several curves in them. Thee balloon bicycle is quite the classic bike. So many people believe that a bike like this is better than the modern bike.
