In the early 1920’s the Elgin bicycle was found in styles for men, women and youths. A diamond frame model was made that would be referred today as a boys bike. When looking at this frame model, with the bar across the top of the frame, made a shape of a diamond. The common colors found were cherry red trimmed with a black trim, or a Khaki brown and cream, or the choice of Arizona brown trimmed with black.
The bikes offered protective mudguards on the back and front, with the front guard having a protective splasher built in. Bicycle tool kits were included with purchase to repair the bike if needed. For around twenty-five dollars, one could have an Elgin bicycle of their own.
